In this report “Business and Ethical Awareness in Tourism Industry Workplace.” we discuss, The tourism sector is one of the important parts of many economies around the globe. The industry generates jobs and contributes to the GDP of several nations. Moreover, the tourism sector also faces several threats when it comes to ethical practices.

The UK Government revealed the issue where multiple tourism firms like hotel chains, as well as airlines, were grounds to violate national minimum wage laws. Employees especially young workers and women were underpaid and the lack of a clear pay structure made it critical for employees to recognize the discrepancies The case brings forward several ethical issues that need to be addressed to comply with the legal standards and create a fair and transparent work environment for all the employees.

I will reflect on ethical issues as presented in the case scenario for developing the CPD- Continuous Professional Development Plan.

Ethical Issues:

The ethical issues in the case are serious and multi-faceted. These issues in the code the violation of legal rights, poor management, and the lack of transparency affect the business roles.

Violation of Minimum Wage Laws:

One of the serious issues raised by the case is the violation of the National Minimum Wage law in the United Kingdom. The law directly ensures that all the employees are paid at least the curtains amount per house depending on their age with the employment status. The firms involved in the scandal underpay the employee which is a clear violation of UK Labor laws.

Employees are entitled to fair compensation for the work they perform and for providing vital services in the truism sector. Underpayment creates financial hardships that affect the morale and employees are unaware that being underpaid which brings us to another ethical issue in the case.

Lack of Transparency in Pay Structures:

This implies which who were young workers did not fully understand the pay slips because they were complex and unclear. The lack of transparency in how wages were calculated is unethical because workers have the right to examine that exacters as being paid and how their wages are cacatuid, If the breakdown is confusing and workers may not even notice that are being unpaid then this situation makes it more critical for employees to retake actions and being paid unfairly.

The complexity of pay slips is the issue that defines the deliberate attempt to obfuscate the true wages and being paid with the presenting of employees for noticing the discrepancies. The lack of transparency violates the ethical principles of honesty and openness in business practices which is essential to generate the being discrimination in the workplace.

Gender Equality is a fundamental ethical principle and this case calls attention to the higher need for companies and ensure equal treatment for all employees. Women should not be paid less simply because of their gender and the firm just take proactive measures to ensure equal pay.

The underpayment of workers violates the principles and deprives the employees of basic human rights to earn fair wages. The tourism sector like all industries has the ethical obligation to protect the rights of workers and ensure they are treated with dignity and respect.

Fair Treatments of Employees (Principle Two):

One of the effective principles of the Code is to examine the fair treatment of all employees. The underpayment workers especially young workers and women who construct its activity are compensated fairly for their work and firms should be transparent about how the wages are calculated. How I Would Feel I Found Out as Paid Less Than Legally Required:

If I discovered that I was being paid less than the legally required wages then I would experience a range of emotions. First of all, I would feel very frustrated as well as angry. It is deeply upsetting that the employer is not honoring their legal obligations to pay them fairly. I would also feel betrayed as have trusted the firm to do the right thing and find out that they are exploring the employees.

Moreover, I would feel anxious or worried, if I were underpaid then I would be concerned about how this would affect my overall financial situation. The situation would also make me feel disempowered as I might efforts to take actions without knowing the correct procedure or having the e tire confidence to analyze the direct issue with my employer. Lastly, I would feel disappointed in the firm’s management for failing to uphold all the ethical standards.

Skills and Knowledge that Needed to Address the Ethical Situations:

To effectively analyze the situations, I would like to develop different skills and areas of knowledge. I have the proper skills of knowledge the labor laws and ethical standards, I understand labor laws like the National Minim Wage Act as well as the Equality Act which is crucial. This knowledge would help me to recognize the rights as being violated and how to relayed appraised need the familiarize myself. I have the prep skill of understanding the terms.

I will examine that there are a lot of areas that need to be improved in the future as related to the advanced areas of success, I examined the strategic roles, evaluated the change, and updated the valuable concerns to respectfully maintain professionalism. Ethical issues in their workplace required careful consideration of gender inequality and ensuring that all employees that treated equally or fairly.

I developed a clear awareness of the Gender Equality and Diversity Skills that motivate me to develop better areas of success. I evaluate the diversity or inclusion within the workplace that recognizes the addressing of gender equality and ensures all the employees as treated fairly the equally regardless terms.

I examined the changes, determined the roles, and updated the higher resources to maintain the valuable roles. I determined the valuable practices that helped me to examine the support. I recognize and address the need to ensure that all the employees are treated Arly and manage equal plans to update the strengths

Continuing Professional Development Plan:

To raise my skills and knowledge in ethical practices in the tourism workplace, I will create the CPD plan with specific changes to maintain the plans.

Goal 01: To Gain Knowledge of Labor Laws and Ethical Standards:

I have the skill of understanding the UK Labor laws such as minimum wages act or equality act with the entire awareness of global code of ethics for tourism. I completed my online course on labor laws and business ethics I attended the workshops on the legal responsibilities of empowers and employers. I read the case studies that are related to ethical issues in the tourism sector.

Goal 2: To improve my communication skills for Addressing Ethical Issues:

I have the verbal and written communication skills. I have a strong ability to handle critical conversations professionally. I directly patriciate the role of a business consultant to determine the change, I practice having critical conversations doing play role scenarios, and I join professional networks and associations where I can learn from others.

Goal 3: To develop expertise in Gender Equality and Diversity within the Workplace:

I have the proper skills to understand diversity and inclusion principles. I have a clear knowledge of gender equality laws and better practices. I am taking a course on gender equality and diversity in the workplace. I participate in initiatives aimed at prompting diversity within the firm. I attend conferences or webinars on gender equality in the entire workplace.

I have developed advanced strengths and maintained the coordinated values to build change in the future.
