I am working in the company of Unilever PLC in the role of project manager which represents my skills and abilities to manage the entire project. Unilever company initiated the project “Future Leadership Program”. As the project manager, I hired the assistant and the team to provide the proper facilities or services for this project by the Unilever company. As the advanced project manager, I analyze the largest situation that is required to do the valuable operations and proceed with the higher changes.

Project selection and portfolio management:

Project screening and selection:

For Unilever’s future leadership program, the checklist is the tool that is used for the screening, The overall practice of the business, and the generation of the entire guidance, the business roles will be valued. Adding the higher strengths and taking the business positions, the current responsiveness is added. To select the project of Unilever’s future leadership, the checklist is a tool that helps to improve the overall guidance. This screening term will impact the organizational responsiveness and taking the best resources either it leads the interactive decisions. Project screening and selection help to cater to the direction and lead the internal roles for convenience actions.

Projects, programs, and portfolios:

These elements must be different in the management of the organization. Because Unilever’s future leadership program has the goals and deadline to complete the tasks, Programs must relate the initiatives that achieve the benefits not the possible when these are managed sportily. Combining this project as the large complex elements is the portfolio that improves the business’s advanced changes and determines the greater values. Managing the portfolio and determining the higher approaches, the business plans will be addressed to cater to the consistent change that leads the innovative practices.

Adding the organizational values and determination of the firm’s strengths, the overall analysis will be obtained to track the consistent change.

People involved in the Precht management directly affect the performance. The board of team members and the project assistance team the part of the achievement of success. So, I appreciate each entity to give their entire contribution to society.

The information about the deadlines, skills of the people, and leadership abilities that are discussed in Unilever’s FLP are analyzed as the key pillar of project management. This pillar will increase the business growth and the strategic component regarding the higher change.

Role’s responsibilities and challenges in project governance:

  • The project manager of Unilever company’s FLP is responsible for overseeing the work of the teams and daily activities. Various cultural as well as operational variations make it hard for them, to collaborate on the decisions across the regions and divisions.
  • The board of directors strategically oversees the project and decides to head the terms. It makes an important judgment to classify the overall plans and determine the business values to integrate the success.
